Milestone years are hard to come by but CueBlocks finally stumbled on 2010 and rocked it to the core! From adding an incredibly fabulous new office to its infrastructure (check it out at: http://www.cueblocks.com/blog/2010/cueblocks-new-block-celebrations/) to the very recently launched Android app – 'GeoChirp for Android' – CueBlocks really hit it big this year. Accreditation followed too as CueBlocks became a Magento Community Partner and renewed the coveted Google Adwords Partner Company Certification (great job guys!). The team worked on some super development and marketing projects in 2010, and added several very exciting clients to our roster. Other things of importance – Release of the CueBlocks culture book, the much-loved CueBlocks Goodies which include super cool CueBlocks hoodies and sweat shirts, pin-up badges, stickers and ids (http://www.cueblocks.com/blog/2010/cueblocks-ids-stickers/)! We've been really up to a lot. :) As we wowed each other with greatness in work, at gaming skills and otherwise, the year seemed to have zipped pas

CueBlocks Ids & Stickers – It’s All About ...

Creating a memory is easy but leaving it behind isn't. While CueBlocks is pretty good at creating some everlasting ones, somehow the memorabilia part always gets left behind. Not anymore, because now each cuebie has a unique id and loads of CueBlocks stickers to flaunt and stick-on! <--more--> [caption id="attachment_622" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="CueBlocks ID Cards"]CueBlocks ID Cards[/caption] The ids are not just unique (as in person) but in design too. On one side of the id is the picture and on the reverse is the sketch – result - totally awesome! If you think the ids are enough to add to our swagger then wait till you've seen the CueBlocks stickers. You can do with the picture until you spot one on cars, motorbikes or laptops. And when you do come across one, you'll know it's a cubie riding past. :) [caption id="attachment_623" align="alignright" width="148" caption="CueBlocks Stickers "]CueBlocks Stickers [/caption] My favorite sticker of all reads – 'I am Read More...

New CueBlocks Badges – With Love from Indonesia

CueBlocks’ New-Cube-on-the-Block Celebrations

September 13th 2010, is a day that will not go down CueBlocks' memory lane like a popped out soap bubble but like those beaded bubbles blinking in a champagne glass – the ones that tinkle in the cheers and the woo-hoos! [caption id="attachment_561" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="New Addition to CueBlocks"]New Addition to CueBlocks[/caption] This was the day when the cuebies finally got to enjoy their new favorite haunt – read the new swanky (we will get to the 'swank' part in a while) floor of CueBlocks office which now spans 2 floors! The new floor had been under construction for some months now and we all were waiting for it to complete with abated breath. The cuebies knew well that it's definitely going to be bigger, better and even browner! :) So the unveiling was done and we were all blown away by its minimalist architecture, the bipartite division with the stark sleek work section and the swanky and amazing recreation area built as a lounge with a pool table and tennis table, bean bags, bookshelves and a coffee machine that dispenses other delicious beverages (non-alcoholic only :P) too!! Cheers to the New Block! Now this

My Cue Blocks Experience – Kate

<img class=AIESEC appeared as the first line when googled “international internship”. It was the first time I heard about this organization. As I found out later, it’s huge. But I didn’t expect, that I can find anything for my specialization (graphic design). <!–more–> And I applied for each position, which had something to do with art and design (teaching disabled children, illustration, newspaper design, packaging…and, of course, web design). Surprisingly I had some options to choose from. Cue Blocks was one of them, and I made my choice, right choice (we never know, but I believe, that it was the right choice:)).

I was so unsure about everything, so unconfident and nervous about going India and, most of all, starting to work (it was my first experience of working as a designer). My duties seemed so vague to me, I knew nothing about web design.

Almost 3 months have gone since then. As Pancham said on my first day, 3 months felt like 3 weeks. And he was so right! I always think, that everything is just starting, but it’s not. It started with birth and it will slip away, if I don’t seize the moment.. It’s one of the things, that I became more assured about this summer. Cue Team

What astonished me about Cue Blocks team was professionalism. I heard interns from other companies complaining about “Indian stretchable time”, but in Cue Blocks tomorrow means tomorrow:) Everyone was extremely friendly. I really appreciate, that people wanted us (me and Melih) to feel comfortable and spoke English, when we were around (especially for the first month:))

I’m very grateful to Pancham, Avneet and Sarthak for giving me this chance, for guiding me through, for creating such a nice atmosphere. I’ve never seen people, who distinguish “being friendly” and “being professional” so clearly (I mean it’s not a surprise, because I’ve never worked in an office before. But I’m glad, that my first bosses showed me this attitude).

CB_souvenirAs always, passing a milestone, I think, that I could have done more, learned more. But now, looking back, I feel enriched. The blocks of information and experience are filling up the gaps in my head. One by one they are falling down. Cue Blocks made me more magnetic for particular sort of these blocks. I’m hungry for new knowledge, charged for this school year. Now I see better than ever, that school can’t give me as much I as need. This internship clarified my further path.

Elisha, my TN manager promised “life changing experience”, and Cue Blocks kept the promise.
